Singer and record producer Sello ‘Chicco’ Twala defends his son Longwe on his alleged involvement in the shooting of Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa.
As the murder case is being unpacked in court, many internet users strive to know who the suspect behind the murder of the beloved soccer star is, and many people still speculate who the ‘person’ behind the gun was that fateful morning.
As per reports by news publication, TimesLive, Chicco’s sons are currently in court for stealing their father’s equipment worth R20k whilst he was out of the country.
Speaking on his son’s arrest, Chicco defended his actions of having them arrested saying, “The action I took now I took as a responsible parent. My son has been having problems with drugs from way back when he was about 17 years old. So now he is 39 and he is still the same. Nothing has changed. He’s been stealing from me, he’s been doing a lot of stuff. He’s been to more than 30 rehab centres. We’ve tried to assist him as a family, we tried everything we could and he doesn’t want to change.”
Despite Longwe being arrested for something different the focus still lies on the fact that one of the people on the night of Senzo’s death knew something, as over the years many have speculated that Longwe was the man behind the gun.
During an interview with eNCA, Chicco stated that Longwe did not shoot Senzo as those claims were started by an online user who was not there that night.

When Chico mentioned Senzo Meyiwa at the police station after Longwe was arrested for theft, I was surprised, but why did he mention him? pic.twitter.com/3CbItgx3B6
