Must-watch African stars in FA Cup quarters

Some of Africa’s best are ready to step up in the FA Cup quarter-finals, with their contributions set to be game-changing, writes DYLAN JOHNSON.

This season’s FA Cup has been a tournament of surprises, with seven of the last eight teams chasing silverware for the first time in decades—or ever. As the quarter-finals approach, several African stars will be crucial to their teams’ hopes.

Writing for Soccermag,  Dylan explains how Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo’s pace and pressing will be key against Manchester City, while Fulham’s Calvin Bassey’s defensive strength could prove vital against Crystal Palace.

Palace’s Ismaila Sarr will be crucial with his pace and directness. Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush brings creativity, and Nottingham Forest’s Ola Aina will be integral both defensively and offensively. These players are ready to shine.
