South African beauty influencer and entrepreneur Mihlali Ndamase and actress Linda Mtoba recently rubbed shoulders with Rihanna at her Fenty Beauty event held in Los Angeles.
Back in 2017, Rihanna introduced the world to Fenty Beauty a makeup range that was inclusive to all shades particularly darker skin shades as the beauty market did not cater for them, although it ranked her as a billionaire she decided to sell 50% of her Fenty Beauty company which was worth US$2.8 billion (about R52. 4 billion).
The beauty event made headlines as Mihlali and Linda posted their outfits and many users felt that they outdressed Rihanna at her event. Some users on X (previously known as Twitter) commented on the outfits worn by the two ladies but also Linda’s accent as she spoke to Rihanna.
Mihali took to Instagram where she captured images of the event and her customised makeup shade with her name ‘Hot Topic’ which she goes by on X (previously Twitter). She also took the time to reflect on her journey as she was invited to the beauty event saying: “My journey in the digital space has had its ups and downs, but the moment I even begin to doubt myself God affirms me every time. Thank you, Father, for consistently making my dreams a reality. We started in a cottage in Randburg, now we’re in LA.”
