Letoya Makhene turns messy love life into marketing move

South African actress and singer Letoya Makhene is proving that controversy can be turned into profit.

After facing renewed criticism over her romantic relationships, the former Generations: The Legacy star used the online attention to promote her traditional herbs business, cleverly transforming public scrutiny into a marketing opportunity.

A strategic marketing move 

On 17 May 2026, a viral video surfaced showing Makhene humorously addressing the ongoing conversations about her personal life. In the clip, she contrasted her thriving acting career with what she described as setbacks in her love life, while also poking fun at claims that she is “cursed.”

Despite the criticism and public drama surrounding her relationships, Makhene maintained that she continues to overcome challenges and rebuild herself with confidence.
