Letoya Makhene finds solace in music again

by Samantha Mochele

South African actress, singer, and TV personality Letoya Makhene has made a return to her music career, signalling a new chapter in her music journey.

The announcement came via her Instagram, where she shared studio photos and teased an upcoming major announcement.

Amid recent attention surrounding her personal life due to her wife’s divorce filing, Letoya took to social media to share her excitement about her musical comeback. In a heartfelt post, she expressed gratitude to her supporters and hinted at a significant announcement to be unveiled at an exclusive signing ceremony.

“I am proud to announce that I have returned to my first love,” Letoya wrote. “My official signing ceremony will take place at an exclusive location in the presence of a few hand-picked media, where all will be revealed. To those who have believed in me, thank you so much for your unwavering love and support. I see you. All I can say for now is take control, own your power and never let the devil have the last say. Camagu.”

According to SundayWorld, Letota attempted suicide by overdosing on tablets after her spouse, Lebohang Pulumo Keswa, ended their relationship. She accused Latoya of having an extramarital affair with a Nigerian drug dealer and a lesbian side chick.

The breakup led to a physical altercation where Letoya burned her spouse with boiling water making her end the marriage.

Following the overdose attempt, Lebohang took Latoya to a doctor, who recommended psychiatric hospitalisation, but she later declined, attributing her issues to ancestral matters. This information came from a leaked text message Lebohang sent to a friend as reported by SundayWorld.
