It seems like the five-year relationship between South African actress and musician Khanyi Mbau and Zimbabwean businessman Kudzai Mushonga has ended for real this time.

Recently, Khanyi Mbau took to her Instagram to announce her breakup with Kudzai, in a now-removed post. Khanyi shared that while Kudzai is a good person he also did some bad things.

Opening up about the relationship, Khanyi explained that he tried everything he could to make up with him but that did not help. She shared that she did most of her grieving whilst they were still together and finally got the courage to leave and ended the post by wishing him all the best in life.

The breakup caused traction on social media with most people doubting if the breakup was in fact real. This is because, in 2021, the couple announced they had called it quits only for them to get back again.

While some people were still trying to connect the puzzle, Kudzai shared an Instagram post where he spoke about grief which sealed it off to the audience that the breakup might be true.

In the post, he wrote that one can be a chapter of grief in someone’s story but it could be a vessel of the nation. He ended his caption by urging people to stay focused.

The post got humorous responses from his followers as others urged him to be with them.

One user wrote: “Never wife someone who doesn’t wanna give u a child but wants a soft life.”

When they broke up in 2021, Kudzai did not take it well and shared a video of himself in a restaurant where he looked like he was drinking. In the video, whilst in tears, he explained that Khanyi did not even initiate a breakup she just left him in Dubai and came back to South Africa.

One user said, “As long as ungazoskhalela ngoba wakhala gqitha last time. Ube right Bhuti [as long you are not going to come to us crying like last time, be okay].”
