‘Enough is enough!’: Kelly hits back at allegations regarding Meyiwa’s death

Despite an ongoing and unresolved court case, Kelly Khumalo has often been tagged as the mastermind behind the unexpected murder of Orlando Pirates goalkeeper, Senzo Meyiwa. Recently, the songstress took to social media to express that she has had enough of the baseless accusations.

October 2014 marked an unfortunate time in South Africa; a time when fan-favourite goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa was shot and killed at his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s house in Vosloorus.

The news quickly spread and had South Africans in disbelief. It was unbelievably sad and frustrating that the life of a star at the peak of his career could come to such an abrupt end.

Almost a decade later, no convictions have been made regarding this unfortunate crime which has left a gaping void in the hearts of many South Africans.

Due to the complicated nature of the case, some of evidence which has been revealed in court, as well as the lack of progress when it comes to cracking down on the perpetrator of this cruel crime, Kelly Khumalo has repeatedly been accused of being the mastermind behind the shooting. These accusations have been made by some members of the public and most recently, by Advocate Malesela Teffo.

After taking public scrutiny for a number of years, Kelly Khumalo has finally taken to her social media to address the matter.

She urged anyone who believes that she is guilty of murdering Senzo to take the necessary steps to hold her accountable.

“Enough is enough! It stops here, and it stops today… If you strongly believe that I am capable of what you are accusing me of, come and get me, I am not above the law,” she says. Furthermore, she added that until such action can be carried out, people should back off.
