General Mkhwanazi wins people’s hearts for his dedication to protecting communities

While there may be a lot of dissatisfaction with the South African police as criminals have made mzansi their playground, one person who has dedicated his life to protecting his community is Provincial Commissioner of KwaZulu-Natal, Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.

The general who is always ready to tackle major crime activities in the province was recently hailed for his involvement in the AKA murder case, which saw 2 suspects who were allegedly hiding in eSwatini brought back to the country and officially charged for his murder.

This gave the late rapper’s fans and many concerned mzansi citizens hope as they felt the police were incompetent, further making reference to former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa’s case which is still unsolved, 10 years after his death.

The recent killing of three suspects by police, one of whom is believed to have shot and killed a police officer in June 2023 in Durban’s Inanda led to high praises for the General with many asking for his protection.

Speaking to eNCA news presenter, General Mkwanazi detailed that Inanda unlike other parts of KZN is notorious for having criminals who fight back when approached by police, the same thing the three deceased suspects attempted to do, resulting in a shoot-out and subsequently their death.
