More about For Better or Whatever

The mini-drama stars Siyamthanda Banda as Sizwe Scott and Zimi Mphefu as Lindiwe, the love interest. Sizwe was adopted by Gavin Scott, played by Tony Coleman, known for his role in Blood Diamonds, and Narisha Scott, played by Jailoshini Naidoo, best known for her role in the Kandasamy movie series.

A free-spirited and multicultural family living the average contemporary suburban life.

Lindiwe, on the other hand, has a traditional father, played by Jet Novuka. The couple is stuck between wanting to get married and having to abide by Lindiwe’s father’s traditional rules.

The episodes available follow Sizwe reeling from Lindiwe’s rejection of his proposal and having to learn the culturally appropriate manner of approach.

What Absa brings to the mini-drama

The show is the first bank-led mini-drama in which Absa explains that the show aims to help viewers build the confidence to manage their money, spot scams, and protect what matters most.

The bank explained that money affects very important moments in the average South African’s life. It inspired the storytelling format to provide a practical lesson where common mistakes are pointed out and valuable lessons are provided.
