Denise Zimba excited about her return to Generations: The Legacy

by Sergio Miller

Talented actress and television presenter Denise Zimba is excited about the opportunity to return to the place where she first launched her career.

Those who are familiar with the journey of the actress would best remember her for her role as Mary Gumede, in the SABC 1 soapie, Generations: The Legacy in 2014. This was Denise’s first breakthrough role where she portrayed the feisty character who wiggled her way into the marriage of Korabo and Tau.

While many may have been irritated by her forward nature, others have been extremely impressed with her acting abilities.

It turns out that her journey on the show is far from over as she gears up for an exciting return.

In a recent interview with entertainment publication Daily Sun, she spoke about what it meant to be back.

“The Generations team will always be family to me,” she revealed.

“It helped my career in my early days, and I’ll forever be grateful for the opportunity given.”

Following her on the show, her career has soared to greater heights as she later dipped her toes into several other ventures in the entertainment industry. Some these included becoming a singer, dancer and TV presenter.

Speaking about her return to the show after 10-years she added that the feeling was surreal, especially with so many new faces and characters working on set.

“Many of the actors and actresses that I worked alongside then have gone on to do amazing things. Nevertheless, it was such a fun time working with current casts. They were very inviting and are very talented individuals,” she explained.
