Celebrities react to Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari

The internet went abuzz yesterday when it was announced seven times Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton was leaving his British-based team Mercedes Benz to join the Ferrari F1 team.

Prior to signing for this big move the first and only black Formula 1 driver was on a two-year contract with Mercedes Benz which had a clause to exit. Currently signed a multi-year contract with Italy, Maranello-based F1 team.

Many people took to social media to comment about this move including mzansi celebrities.

Humorous media personality and radio presenter Anele Mdoda was among the people who had something to say about the move, commenting that she was going to pour her petrol from the Shell filling station since Lewis’s move.

Ferrari and Shell renewed their long partnership deal in 2021. Giving them more years together.

Loyal DJ Kaybee  expressed that his blood she was now part of the red team, commenting:

“Yep, my blood is red now. Yall stay with Russel.”

Media personality Sizwe Dhlomo was also happy for the move commenting on his friend Anele’s post with- ” Now you’re talking!” after Anele shared a picture of the multi champion and wrote “Scuderia kulondawo.”
