Production house Black Brain Pictures is hard at work to ensure that South Africans are provided with top-quality entertainment as far as television is concerned. Led by industry giant Mandla N, the production house is set to release yet another film which will premier exclusively on local streaming service eVOD.
The news comes shortly after the multi-award winning film-maker and creative director released the trailer for his highly anticipated ‘Piano Love’ which is set to feature fan favourites Bontle Modiselle, who will be portraying the love interest of Kwesta, who took a break from being a wordsmith to explore his capabilities with a script and camera.
The company has also had success with their show ‘Isiphetho: Destiny’ which has quickly become a fan favourite, particularly since the news of industry maestro Sindi Dlathu joining the cast broke.
According to Prime Video, ‘Proof of Payment’ is a comedy film set in modern South Africa and portrays “the story of Themba, a disadvantaged, yet incredibly intelligent, charismatic, yet unscrupulous young man who has perfected the art of conning unsuspecting victims out of their valuables.”
Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela took to his X(formerly Twitter) to share the trailer of the film, as well as to report that the film, starring Mandla Gaduka and Thabo Malema is set to premiere this August on eVOD.

The trailer reveals that veterans Seputla Sebogodi, and Dawn Thandeka-King, will join Mandla Gaduka and Thabo Malema on the cast of the film.
