Amanda Du Pont
Sparkling nude dresses stole the show at last week’s Oscars and Amanda is bang on trend with this Tsotesti designer gown.
Leleti Khumalo and Skhuthazo Khanyile
We hardly see Leleti out on the red, or should we say black, carpet. She looks all grown up in this sophisticated, feminine gown, flanked by her adorable hubby, Skhuthazo.
Pearl Thusi
Of course Pearl is going to be on this list. She always brings it! As a presenter of the awards, she channelled all-star glamour in this flowy black gown.
AKA and Da Les
Aka did a good job of channeling Kanye West’s style for the awards, it was funky but still not over powering. We don’t have much to say about Da Les, his outfit is not that amazing, but it works.
Black Coffee and Mbali Mlotshwa
Mbali never disappoints, she always looks good. This red gown fits her tiny frame like a glove and her dashing husband makes the perfect accessory!
DJ Tira and Gugu Mbambama
Not many woman can pull off an all-white ensemble, but Gugu looks lovely in lace in this perfectly fitting dress. We’re not sure about Tira though. Those pants? Those shoes? No, No!
SILVER: THE RUNNERS-UP…
Sfiso Ncwane and his wife Ayanda
Ayanda looks elegant in ruby red, but Sfiso looks like he’s going to church!
Zahara and Ntando
We applaud Zahara for stepping out of her comfort zone with this gown and the pop of blue eyeshadow, but the dress just doesn’t fit her properly and there’s a hole in the one sleeve! As for Ntando, if you’re going to go all black, try keep it all one shade!
Pearl Modiadie
Mmm… not so sure about the tie-dye vibe… she looks like a star and her hair and make-up is amazing, but there’s too much going on with that dress!
Nandi Mngoma
If you’re going to go see-through, at least get a better bra or no bra and some discreetly placed sequence! Love the colour of the dress and her make-up, but we’re used to seeing more from this red carpet regular.
Rapulana Seiphemo
Rapulana has got the styling on point, but he kinda looks uncomfortable.
Lunga Tshabalala
Lunga is hot and always very stylish, but we’re not mad about the sequence tie and he could’ve taken this outfit to the next level.
BRONZE: BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME!
Nomuzi Mabena
Despite her perfect make-up, Nomuzi decided to go for gold and finished with bronze! The boobs, the bodice, the train – there’s way too much going on here!
Andile Gaelesiwe
It’s not that we don’t like this dress, but it could’ve been better without the sleeves and the feathers! Fashion note to self: Don’t wear big dangly earrings with such a high neckline.
Micasa
Are they going to a braai or an awards ceremony? The boys could’ve put in a little more effort!
Zizo Beda
Above the shoulders, Selimathunzi’s Ziza looks absolutely radiant but is that a nightie she’s wearing?
Thando Thabethe
Thando is such a beautiful girl and we’re loving her hair colour, but this dress doesn’t do her beauty justice and that thigh brooch is just weird.
