Tendai Ndoro arrested abuse

Soccer player Tendai Ndoro reportedly spent the weekend behind bars, after his wife Thando laid charges of assault against him

Tendai and Thando traditionally tied the knot in December last year.

According to the Sowetan, Tendai was released on bail on Monday morning after appearing at the Boksburg Magistrates Court.

Thando turned to police after a fight between them turned violent, with Tendai allegedly choking her and throwing a TV at her.

The NPA confirmed to the paper that Tendai faces a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Speaking to the paper outside court, Thando said their fight last week escalated last week after Tendai asked for the car keys, which she refused to give him.

Thando said she needed the car to drop her son off at school.

“He pinned me on the bed and strangled me while he searched for the keys. He then picked up a TV and threw it at me but I managed to dodge it and it hit the wall,” she alleged.

Thando also claimed that Tendai lost his temper at a family meeting where he allegedly tried to make her sign documents stating she was not his legal wife. Apparently the soccer player threw a bottle of juice against the wall.

Tendai has apparently not commented on the matter.
