Man Crush Monday – Terrance Howard

by Boitumelo Mmakou

We sure do love our South African men, but once in a while we can’t help but fall for our international stars. One such man is the gorgeous Terrance Howard, lead star of Empire – the most talked about television series on Fox TV. Terrance plays the multimillionaire Lucious Lyon. Besides fanning ourselves as soon as he appears on screen or when he speaks, there are many other reasons why we are head over heels with Mr Howard.

HIS EYES

The very first thing that we notice about this yummy brother is his eyes; very beautiful eyes, might we add. We doubt he’d be less attractive without them, but are glad to see them add a dash of colour (green to be precise).

ACTING GAME ON A 100

Whether he’s playing bad boy Jimmy on The Best Man (1999), Nelson Mandela on Winnie (2011), or the drug dealer turned head of million dollar record label Lucious Lyon (2015), we really can’t help but think of him as excellent because he nails each role.

It’s the Lucious Lyon character that has us convinced that Terrance is a force to be reckoned with. We are smitten by him. Who wouldn’t love to be Mrs Lyon?!

AWARD WINNING

We love a man that’s always winning at what he does, and Terrance definitely sets the bar high. He has won BET Best Actor award for his character Djay on Hustle and Flow, Black Reel Award for Best Supporting Actor as Cameron Thayer on Crash, and many others.

Empire-foxPOTENTIAL

Terrance Howard is clearly someone who isn’t easily distracted – that completely inspires us. We should take a few notes from his hard working spirit. He has managed to stay relevant for two decades, and has achieved a lot at the age of 46.

FAMILY GUY

He may look the stereotypical player, but he really isn’t. Terrance is a family man, who loves his stunning wife Miranda Howard and his three beautiful children.
