DJ Zinhle visited the Real Talk studios on Tuesday afternoon – one day after Bonang Matheba dodged questions about her on the same show
The DJ sat down with new host Azania to talk about her new self-help book, Meeting Your Power, which she co-wrote with leadership coach Nokubonga Mbanga.
She also dished on her co-parenting relationship with her ex-boyfriend AKA and letting go of pain after his 2015 cheating scandal with Bonang.
Zinhle is anything but a bitter ex, and in fact seems to have forgiven both AKA and Queen B.
She revealed how she is able to let go of pain after people have hurt her.
“You need to forgive people without asking them for an apology, so that you can move on to a better space. We are raised to hold onto grudges and we don’t realise how harmful they are to our progress.
“We normally get emails from girls that say, ‘It’s been five years and I still can’t forgive him’. It’s as if forgiveness is about the next person – it’s not. Forgiveness is about you, your progress, your own healing,” she said.

The 34-year-old also told Azania what she thinks about fans who are still rooting for her and AKA to get back together
“If there’s one thing South Africans are not short of it’s hope… We had this conversation, me and him recently, and we just decided, let’s start a new conversation about co-parenting, a positive conversation and let people look at us and think it’s possible to do this co-parenting thing and get along’,” Zinhle said.
She added that it is important that they get along to set a good example for Kairo
“We want her to experience as much of family moments as possible. That’s where we are now.”
Zinhle revealed that AKA is a “very strict” parent while she “bends easily
“We are in a good space. It took a lot of work, we’re still working on it but we are in a very good space.”

Kairo was backstage during the taping watching her mommy’s inspiring interview and Azania shared a picture of herself with the tot in breaks.
