Former beauty queen, media personality and businesswoman Basetsana ‘Bassie’ Kumalo and her husband Romeo Kumalo are celebrating 22 years of being together.
Basetsana marked their 22nd wedding anniversary on her Instagram page with video footage of their wedding day.
The media personality pinned down a sweet and heartfelt post for husband as she recalls the day of her wedding day.
“We took our first dance to Barbra Streisand – I Finally Found Someone song twenty two years ago on the 9th of December 2000. It feels like it was just yesterday when I said I do to you. Choosing you as my husband is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Twenty two years later…I will choose you again and again.
“You have been consistent and dependable through the years, your devotion to me and the kids is a beautiful blessing to witness, you support me in all my endeavors and dreams, always saying you can do it, believing the best of me when I need the encouragement. Through the ups and downs of life, you remain unwavering in your love for me. In you, I married my best friend and look forward to growing old with you my love, she wrote.
The former beauty queen also thanked her husband for prioritising their relationship and being such an “incredible” father to their children.
Thank you for putting us first above everything else. You are such an incredible father to our children and a positive role model to them. I thank the Lord for the gift of your life. I love you Mntungwa. Happy Anniversary to us.” she added.
