TikTok has become the go-to place for beauty trends and although some beauty trends may seem rather out there. It looks like this beauty trend of banana peels could be replacing Botox injections.
TikToker Alayna Ryan claims that banana peels have the same effect as Botox injections.
The TikToker posted a video which has over 1.9 million views which continues to grow. The mom of three showcased in the video how she uses banana peels to rub all over her face while explaining the benefits of it.
She starts by telling viewers that it’s really gross but it’s something she has been doing for years.
“It’s disgusting but it’s natural Botox. The inside of a banana peel. No wrinkles,” she adds.
“The grosser it looks from the outside (referring to the banana peel) the better your skin’s going to look.

After the video went viral many people jumped on the trend, as they started showcasing the rubbing of their faces with banana peels while using the original sound audio from Alayna Ryan to recreate the banana peel videos.
TikTok user @jnitav’s video shares her own beauty tutorial using the banana peel and offers the following advice: “The worse the banana looks the better. Leave on for 15-20 minutes, rinse with cold water then moisturise. You can do this three to five times a week.”
