Beauty At The Oscars

We share the best Oscar red carpet looks seen at the 87th annual Academy Awards ceremony.

Oprah graced the red carpet with a golden glow face to match her big curls.

You can achieve the big curls with your own relaxed hair if you don’t have time to add hair extensions. Use a curling tong for a perfect downward spiral curl. Comb the curls out with a wide tooth comb to help add volume to the hair.

Zoe Saldana

The actress kept her look simple yet elegant. We love the nude matte lipstick that gave her lips a subtle shade of colour and character.

Get Zoe’s look by applying mascara, eyeliner on the rim of the eye and finish the look off with some bronzer on the cheeks. Add a coloured matte lipstick to change the look from day to night.

Lupita Nyongo

Lupita didn’t do us proud at the awards with her hair or make-up. She is known to explore when it comes to her hair, but this time she played it safe. The bronze lip and silver shimmer eye were a bad combo and didn’t compliment her skin tone.

Solange Knowles

Orange is the new red and Solange has been spotted with the vitamin C shade often.

Get the look:

  • Apply your foundation to your face and blend using a brush. A brush will help give a full coverage and spread the product evenly.
  • Highlight your cheeks with a blush that has a hint of colour to give your cheeks a fresh rose look.
  • Apply black eyeliner on the rim of your eye and on top of the eyelid along the lash line.
  • Complete the eye area by applying mascara, or adding false lashes for more volume and length.
  • Finish the look by applying your orange lipstick.
  • Add a hint of red to the heart of your lips then blend it in to the orange.
