Apply volume lashes like a pro

by Grace Mantjiu

Volume lashes are trending on the beauty streets. Although they can be a miss for some, you can nail them like a pro. Just follow this step-by-step guide on how to apply volume lashes like a pro. By Grace Mantjiu

Step 1. Firstly, measure your lashes. Rest the strip along your lash line to see if you need to trim it to size. Place the strip where the bulk of your natural lashes begin, and not on the corner as it will cause irritation. Do the same thing with where they should end; count at least 2–3 lashes inwards; that is where they should end.

Tip: Lashes sometimes flatten when you remove them from the box. So, wrap them around your finger to help retain their curved shape.

Step 2. Dot a thin layer of glue along the lash from corner to corner. Wait for a few minutes, and then test whether the glue is ready. It should feel sticky when it’s ready.

Step 3. Apply the lashes by looking down and pressing the strip against your lash line in the middle and corners. Carefully squeeze the strip lashes onto your natural ones using a tweezer to avoid a gap in-between.

Step 4. Finish off by applying mascara to give your lashes a lift, and blend in your natural ones.
