Mpho Letsholonyane makes World Cup history

Sports anchor Mpho Letsholonyane has made history as the first female presenter to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup final on television. The star shared the news on social media saying that this was a highlight of her sporting career.

In 2013 when I moved from Randburg to Auckland Park, I was told that I should consider my career over… Today I became the 1st woman in Mzansi to host a FIFA World Cup Final on TV. Hard work and dedication pays off eventually. This day will go down as a HUGE highlight in my sporting career… Thank you to the SABC management who believed in me.
