Which presenter should replace Anele Mdoda on Real Talk?

by All4Women
Thando Thabethe Talk Show Host

We’re still reeling from last week’s shock announcement that revealed that Anele Mdoda would be walking away from her talk show, Real Talk with Anele. Aside from the obvious and burning question (“How can you leave a show with your name in it?!”), once the shock sets in we will all be curious about one thing:

Who is going to replace her?

We’ve taken a look at some of South Africa’s leading talkshow personalities and have an idea of who could take up the Real Talk hotseat (assuming it will still be called Real Talk)

Masechaba Ndlovu

Need an experienced, talented, intelligent presenter to steady a rocky ship? Look no further than Masechaba Ndlovu. The radio and TV star was famously recruited by Metro FM during their toughest period (having seen a number of top DJs leave their show).

Could she do the same for another SABC brand?

Minnie Dlamini

Minnie Dlamini can do everything from sports to entertainment and we’re pretty sure she’d be game to add “talk show host” to her already impressive CV.

Tumi Morake

Tumi Morake may already have a show on SABC 3 but we in South Africa love a reshuffle. We’ll also have to create a brand new gallery titled “Who would you want to replace Tumi Morake on WTF Tumi”

Lerato Kganyago

Lerato Kganyago has recently left Live Amp and a show like Real Talk would be ideal for the matured television star. If you’ve heard her on Metro FM’s The Bridge you will know she’s great with both dialogue and interviews.

Thando Thabethe

Thando Thabooty’s star (and booty) is rising with every passing year. What a great moment this would be to entrench herself in the hearts of South African talkshow lovers for years to come.

But then again, if you’re not happy with this Thabethe, we could also suggest…

HUGE congratulations @Thando_Thabethe on the premiere of your new show #ThandoBaresAll on TLC! I can’t wait to watch. Through your hard work you’re leading and inspiring many in South Africa, across the continent and globally. ?❤? pic.twitter.com/slFS1xjv6s

Ayanda Thabethe

Ayanda has definitely paid her dues in entertainment and you’d think she’s at the perfect time in her career to land a big gig such as this one.

Wildcard: Nonhle Thema

This would undoubtedly be the comeback of the century. After leaving her illustrious (though flawed) entertainment career behind, what a time it would be for Nonhle to make a grand return to prime time television.

Allow the process to happen..Allow the pruning to occur.. it’s for your own Growth #RoyalRestoration #Jubilee ?
