The death of Akhumzi Jezile has sent shock waves in South Africa as friends, family and fans come to terms with his passing. A memorial service is set to take place at Rhema Bible Church in Randburg, Johannesburg on Thursday.
Along with Akhumzi, his friends Siyasanga Kobese, a singer in popular gospel group Joyous Celebration and actor Thobani Mseleni who acted the role of Skhumbuzo on Intersextions, also passed away.
According to newspaper, Times Live, a case of culpable homicide has been opened against the driver of the other vehicle.
Siyasanga will be commemorated by his family and friends on Tuesday 8 May at a service at Bassline in Newtown, while Thobani’s friends and family will gather at the Market Theatre on Wednesday 9 May.
