Claire and Felicity collaborate on a fashion label

Congratulations to BFF’s and now business partners, Claire Mawisa and Felicity Shiba who announced their collaboration on a fashion line called MawisaxShiba. Both stars teased the news of their line last week and have since shared a first look at the labels on their social media.

when friends become business partners amazing things can happen! i’m a firm believer of supporting black women in business and instead of waiting to be asked to endorse a big multinational clothing brand, i decided i should endorse and collaborate with a brand i’ve been working with and supporting for almost 20 years! i’m thrilled to finally announce a collabo that has been long in the making. felicity shiba and i have put together something special to share with you. it’s a mix between our classic favourites and some new contemporary items. looking forward to revealing all soon!!!! #mawisaxshiba

For me, this is really a celebration of friendship over the years. I’ve been making clothes for Claire for almost 20 years. In those years we have made the best dressed list more than a couple of times. I named one of the dresses after her because it felt natural to do so. This collaboration felt like a natural progression. We’ve picked some of our old favourites and also put in some new pieces that I’ve always wanted to make for her. These are classic items, that every woman can relate to. For me print and texture are an expression of who you are and this capsule has got both. I’m excited to see how everyone who gets an item or two, will style them. We are excited to show you what we’ve been working on. #mawisaxshiba
