Run for a good cause

by Bridgette Matjuda
Elelwane Pahlane

Elelwane Pahlana, general manager for transformation at Edcon, chats to us about the importance of the Orange Run. By Fundiswa Nkwanyana

The Orange Run aims to raise awareness about gender-based violence. In any form, violence is a violation of human rights, and Edgars UNiTE invites you to join in and take a stand against it. Through the initiative, we want to raise our voices and say NO to violence against women and children during the 16 days of activism.

The 6km run will end with entertainment. After the fun run, you will get a goodie bag, and an opportunity to relax while enjoying the entertainment we have planned. You can also have a picnic in the park, and listen to good music.

Run for a cause

We also urge you to wear orange every month on the 25th. This is because our voices need to be heard, even after the end of the 16 days of activism. So, wearing orange will keep the message on non-violence against women and children alive throughout the year.
