4 Braid Trends you Have to Try This Season

by Bongiwe Tshiqi

Tired of the same old normal braids? Try these new trends as seen on celebs.

1.Marley Twists as seen on Terry Pheto

Marley twists are created with a certain type or hair extension called Marley braid which is widely available in a range of colours. (These are available at Kinky Hair).

2. Colourful braids as seen on DJ DooWap

This one is for the brave. Try mixing your favourite colours like DJ Doo Wap. If you’re brave enough, use colours like pink, green, yellow, blue and grey. Check your company policy first, you don’t want to be called by HR for being too much. If that’s the case, then try this style during your holidays.

3. Cornrows with braids as seen Nolo Phiri

This hairstyle is old but is making a comeback. You can either do the cornrows in the front or side. If you have a hairline problem, rather get your cornrows coming from the side.

4. Grey braids as seen on Pearl Thusi

If you don’t have DJ Doo Wop’s bravery, try something subtle like the grey braids. These braids have been in for a while and it seems like they aren’t going anywhere. If you’re a bit shy, mix them with black and have more black than grey.
