Lady Du celebrates Nkosazana Daughter with touching birthday tribute: ‘My safe place’

Amapiano star Duduzile Ngwenya, popularly known as Lady Du, has celebrated fellow musician Nkosazana Daughter on her birthday with a heartfelt message, describing her as “the love of my life,” her “safe place,” and one of the greatest blessings in her life.

Taking to social media to mark the special occasion, Lady Du opened up about the special bond she shares with Nkosazana Daughter, born Nkosazana Nolwazi Nzama, reflecting on the friendship they have built over the years.

‘I don’t know what I would do without you’

In her touching birthday message, Lady Du said Nkosazana Daughter has been by her side through both the highs and lows of life.

“I honestly don’t know what I would do without you,” she wrote.

She praised her friend for standing beside her through her happiest moments, darkest days, tears and laughter.

Lady Du also highlighted the trust between them, saying Nkosazana Daughter has seen sides of her that not everyone gets to see but has continued to choose to love, support and understand her.

‘Your friendship is something I never take for granted’

The Dakiwe hitmaker went on to thank Nkosazana Daughter for being the kind of friend who celebrates her successes while also offering support during difficult times.

“Thank you for being the kind of friend who doesn’t only celebrate me when everything is going well, but who also holds my hand when life gets difficult,” Lady Du wrote.

She added that their friendship is something she never takes for granted.

Lady Du’s birthday prayer

As she wished Nkosazana Daughter well on her birthday, Lady Du also shared a heartfelt prayer for the year ahead.

She prayed that God would bless her friend beyond anything she could imagine, open doors for her, protect her heart and give her peace.

Lady Du also wished Nkosazana Daughter happiness, success, good health and beautiful memories, as well as everything her heart has been praying for.

“You deserve the absolute best in life,” she wrote.

‘Happy Birthday, queen’

Lady Du ended her message by expressing her gratitude that their paths had crossed and looking forward to creating many more memories together.

“I hope we continue growing, laughing, winning, and making memories together for many more years,” she wrote.

She concluded the emotional tribute by calling Nkosazana Daughter her “queen” and declaring: “I love you more than words can explain.”

The birthday message offered fans a glimpse into the close friendship between the two stars, with Lady Du making it clear just how much Nkosazana Daughter means to her.
