A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of popular South African DJ and musician Warrick ‘DJ Warras’ Stock, who was shot dead in Johannesburg in December 2025.

According to EWN, police arrested a 40-year-old woman in the Ngcengeni area of Msinga, KwaZulu-Natal, on Wednesday after detectives followed information that led them to a homestead where she was allegedly hiding. She is expected to be handed over to Gauteng police for further processing.
The woman is wanted on allegations of conspiracy to commit murder and murder. According to SABC News, investigators allege that she passed DJ Warras’ vehicle details, as well as information relating to his partner, to Victor Majola, who is accused of orchestrating the killing.
Alleged link to accused mastermind
Reports say the suspect has been identified in previous reporting as Hlengiwe Buthelezi, 40. A warrant for her arrest was issued in August after investigators sought her in connection with the case.
Investigators have alleged that Buthelezi was Majola’s girlfriend and that information relating to Stock was found on Majola’s cellphone. Police previously alleged that she provided Stock’s details and photographs to Majola before the killing.
These allegations have not been tested in court, and Buthelezi remains legally presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
EWN reports that according to police and previous court reporting, the killing was allegedly linked to a dispute involving a hijacked building that Stock was attempting to reclaim.
The case has already resulted in a conviction. A 25-year-old alleged gunman, Armando Pacula, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to an effective 25 years in prison after entering a plea and sentencing agreement with the State.

Arrest follows weeks-long manhunt
The latest arrest comes several weeks after police publicly appealed for information about Buthelezi’s whereabouts. Reports say that in August, authorities released an identikit of the wanted suspect after a warrant was issued by the police’s Serious and Violent Crimes Unit.
According to SABC News reports, KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda said investigators followed information to a rural homestead in Msinga, where the woman was found and arrested. She will now be transferred to Gauteng authorities as the investigation and court process continue.
This arrest marks another significant development in a case that has attracted widespread public attention because of Stock’s profile and the allegations of a planned murder-for-hire operation.
