The 28-year-old Durban-born presenter made the revelation after returning to the airwaves for a special guest appearance on Inanda FM on Friday, 28 August, as part of the station’s Women’s Month programming.
While Penny has confirmed that negotiations are underway, she has remained tight-lipped about the identity of the station, leaving listeners and fans speculating about where she could be headed next.
Penny Ntuli keeps fans guessing
According to Penny, a KZN-based radio station contacted her with an offer to join its team.
The presenter explained that the station is willing to accommodate her despite her currently living in Johannesburg. She said discussions about the contract had already taken place and that she was waiting for the station to get back to her regarding the way forward.
She teased fans by saying it is “a station you all know,” prompting speculation about several KwaZulu-Natal major broadcasters. Penny has also warned her followers not to be upset when she eventually announces where she is going, adding another layer of mystery to her next career move.

From Gagasi FM to Jozi FM
Penny’s latest development comes after a turbulent few years in her radio career.
She made headlines in 2024 when she left Gagasi FM after publicly revealing that she had been offered a contract worth R2,800 a month. The revelation triggered widespread discussion about the treatment and remuneration of radio presenters.
She subsequently moved to Johannesburg and joined Jozi FM.
However, in January 2026, Penny confirmed that her journey with Jozi FM had come to an end after almost two years at the station. At the time, she described the move as an opportunity to pursue “greener pastures and new opportunities.”
Her latest radio offer therefore represents a potential return to the KZN airwaves, where she first established herself as a popular radio personality.
Could Penny Ntuli be returning to KZN radio?
Penny’s surprise guest appearance on Inanda FM appears to have reignited interest in her radio career. Her performance on air reminded listeners of her presenting ability, and according to the latest report, job offers followed.
The biggest question now is whether she will return to one of the province’s biggest established stations or take up an opportunity at another broadcaster.
A return to Gagasi FM would arguably attract the most attention given her history with the station, while a move to Ukhozi FM or Vuma FM could give her a fresh start in the KZN market.
For now, though, Penny is keeping fans guessing.
With contract discussions already underway, listeners may not have to wait too long before finding out which radio station has managed to secure her services.
