The battle for control of Spear Industries is far from over. Following the suspenseful climax of its 20-episode debut season, Netflix South Africa and Gambit Films have officially wrapped production on Season 2 of the hit drama series Blood Legacy.
With post-production underway, the high-stakes corporate thriller is preparing to return to screens with a mix of returning powerhouse leads and compelling new cast additions led by screen royalty Thembi Nyandeni and rising talent Amanda Seome.

Heavyweights join the Ndlovu family drama
Season 1 introduced viewers to Khanyi Adesina (Xolile Tshabalala), an estranged daughter thrust back into the toxic orbit of the Ndlovu family empire. Navigating corruption, family betrayal, and deadly secrets, Khanyi fought to protect Spear Industries from collapsing from within.
As Season 2 shifts into gear, the power vacuum within the Ndlovu dynasty deepens, opening the door for new power players to disrupt the boardrooms and family dynamics.
Thembi Nyandeni
Joining the cast is veteran acting royalty Thembi Nyandeni. Celebrated for her iconic roles as the fierce matriarch Mkabayi Zungu in Mzansi Magic’s isiBaya, Njinji Magwaza in Uzalo, and Selina Khumba in Zone 14, Nyandeni brings unmatched gravitas and formidable screen presence to the Blood Legacy universe. Her entry signals a massive shift in power dynamics as the corporate and family warfare heightens.

Amanda Seome
Also joining the ensemble is Amanda Seome. Best known for her breakout lead performance as Joyce in the SABC1 hit drama series Side Dish, Seome brings captivating intensity and fresh energy to the narrative as the stakes reach an all-time high.

At the centre of the storm, Xolile Tshabalala returns as Khanyi Adesina alongside Anthony Oseyemi as Akin Adesina. Anchoring the core family dynamics, Buyile Mdladla (Mandla Ndlovu), Mike Ndlangamandla (Siya Ndlovu), Pallance Dladla (Zakhele Ndlovu), and Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa (Gabisile Ndlovu) step back into the high-stakes boardroom, while Dawn Thandeka King returns as the formidable Liyana Vezi.
Rounding out the family arc, Dineo Rasedile and Unathi Mkhize reprise their roles as Amahle and Njabulo Adesina, ensuring the next generation’s voice remains central to the drama.

Lead actress Xolile Tshabalala confirmed that principal photography has officially wrapped, with the project moving into post-production. With industry giants like Thembi Nyandeni entering the frame, Season 2 promises more ruthless corporate espionage, unexpected betrayals, and high-octane drama as the Ndlovu legacy hangs in the balance.
