South African viewers took to social media to react to this week’s episodes of e.tv’s newest show, The Four Of Us, after an affair concerning characters Bobbi, Ndumi, and Lethabo took centre stage.

In the past few episodes that aired this week, storylines unfolded, secrets were revealed, and hearts were broken.
What is The Four of Us about?
The Four of Us depicts four siblings who are handling the grief of their deceased father and running their family business. Fights, arguments, and betrayal are at the centre of the telenovela.
The show explores themes of adult relationships and how they manifest after bereavement and disappointment. Following this theme, in this week’s episodes, the first son and second-born, Bobbi Dlhamini, makes an illegal decision in the hopes of saving the family business.
Yet that is not the only unadvisable decision he has made. By proposing to his mistress, Bobbi plans to scorn his long-term girlfriend and the mother of his child, Lethabo.
South Africans comment on the affair
After watching both storylines unfold, viewers took to social media to share their thoughts and opinions about Bobbi’s reckless decisions. Wenzile Albert (@_wenzie), a TikTok content creator and TV show reviewer, expressed her views on Bobbi’s affair with Ndumi.
She essentially dismissed Bobbi as a cheater, believing that his and Ndumi’s relationship would not amount to anything even though they were engaged.
The comments, on the other hand, disagreed with her sentiments. Some viewers were rooting for the couple (Ndumi and Bobbi), while others blamed Lethabo for staying in the relationship that long.
Another group of commenters posed the argument that because Lethabo and Bobbi were teens when they got together, his relationship with Ndumi is a matter of seeking growth. TikTok user@k.roaylt wrote:
“I feel like we could be confusing Bobby with Jonasi. Bobbi settled with Lethabo because she got pregnant at a young age and they haven’t discovered themselves. We might be shocked that Ndumi would become the best thing Bobbi has ever had.”

Bobbi’s illegal activity gets Mzansi talking
Another reviewer, Ntakadzendi (@ntakadzeni_b), a content creator/ reviewer on TikTok, spoke mostly about Bobbi’s illegal plan of action to help save the car dealership. In her video, she validated Busani, the eldest daughter, who is overworked and underappreciated by her family.
Ntakadzeni acknowledged that Busani is always right. Even in her suspicions of Bobbi’s newfound ‘success.’ Even before it is revealed to her where the cars come from. Ntakadzeni stated that Bobbi was consistently making reckless decisions, and Busani is expected to fix his mess.
However, toward the end of her review, she offered a well-rounded character analysis of Bobbi. She admitted that though reckless in action, his ideas do not come from a lack of competency and that he has the capacity to run the family business if guided properly.
