‘Married at First Sight Mzansi’ fans react to explosive season premiere

Mzansi’s most argued-about reality show, Married at First Sight Mzansi, is back, and its first episode of Season 3 aired last night, 5 July 2026, bringing all the high expectations.

Married at First Sight Mzansi premiere episode gets a thumbs-up

The premiere episode of the new season sparked a lively response from viewers on social media, with many saying they were immediately hooked. The longer 90-minute premiere gave intrigued fans enough time to get to know the first couples.

The previous seasons became appointment viewing for many fans, consistently trending at number one on X and sparking a national debate that goes well beyond the usual reality TV chatter.

Of course, after the premiere, viewers wasted no time sharing their opinions across X, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. One X user tweeted, “I hope they are not matching my girl Matsheliso with this mogwanti wa Pitori guy yhooo aowa.”

Many fans questioned whether the relationship experts on the show had made compatible matches, with viewers posting their own predictions about which marriages would last.

Based on the premiere, the overall online mood was mostly positive. Most viewers described the opening episode as entertaining, emotional, and full of enough awkward moments to keep them coming back for episode 2 next week.
