Although Big Brother Mzansi Season 6 contestant Thandeka Tshabalala missed the opportunity to win the R2 million cash prize, the runner-up still walks away a millionaire. This comes after her fans, called the Thalians, contributed to a GoFundMe account after Liema Pantsi took home the cash.

Thandeka Tshabalala officially becomes a millionaire

The crowdfunding account was seemingly set up by Thandeka herself on 22 March 2026, as the name of the organiser read Thandeka Glory Tshabalala. The reality TV star, who has lived in Italy for eight years, surpassed the €55,000 target, which is approximately R1,025,552, at the time of publishing.

The GoFundMe post’s description read, “I’ll be glad if you join us to raise funds for Thandeka, and reward her for giving us an unforgettable season of reality TV. Help establish our Italian queen’s career post-reality TV. She gave 71 days of her life to entertain and inspire us, and we want to support her next chapter.”

According to the description, the funds will go toward a professional media/content creation kit, branding, filming equipment, editing tools, and building sustainable opportunities beyond the show.

Thalians rejoice over Thandeka Tshabalala’s financial status

Many of Thandeka’s loyal fans basked in the fact that she had accumulated such wealth. However, such behaviour is nothing new. Many Big Brother Mzansi participants have financially benefited after leaving the show, whether they took home the cash prize or not.

“Thandeka Tshabalala is officially a millionaire. What God cannot do does not exist,” commented @Millice48780396.

@ntombenhle97822 told Thandeka, “You deserve even more because you gave us a raw, unfiltered show. You played a clean game, no backstabbing, just pure drama.”

@Tina62473196 added online, “Thandeka got the biggest fanbase this season.”
