The Gugulethu hitmaker was referring to an alleged incident between Thuli and her ex, award-winning record producer DJ Maphorisa.
In 2023, Thuli opened a case of assault against Maphorisa, which she later withdrew, after he allegedly physically harmed her in her Sandton apartment. The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) continued with the case, citing sufficient evidence.
According to News24, he was granted R4,000 bail on condition that he didn’t contact Thuli until the charges were formally withdrawn.
