Award-winning musician Mduduzi Ncube has hinted that he will soon speak openly about his departure from Inkabi Records, the label that helped launch his career and establish him as one of South Africa’s most-loved artists.

Speaking to Daily Sun, the musician revealed that there were a number of reasons for his departure, with money being one of them.

He further added that he prefers to share his side of the story in a podcast (which would be made available soon), as such a platform would grant him enough time to fully explain.

Acknowledging the impact of Inkabi Records on his career, he expressed that he still appreciates the love, exposure, and support which he received from Big Zulu.

Known for hits such as Isiginci and Dear Ex Yami, Ncube has built a loyal fan base since joining Inkabi Records as its first signed artist. His exit sparked widespread speculation among fans eager to understand what led to the decision.

At the time of his departure, Inkabi Records also wished him well with the next phase of his professional life.

Ncube is now reportedly focusing on his own music business venture, a move that signals his intention to take greater control of his creative direction and future projects.

Although the artist has remained respectful about his former label, he has suggested that there is more to the story and that he will address the matter. Until the podcast episode, fans remain eager to hear his perspective on one of the most talked-about exits in South African music this year.
