South African entertainer Mthokozisi Ndaba is reportedly facing possible arrest after failing to appear in court for a scheduled appearance, according to legal developments emerging from the matter.

This is after Mthokozisi was released on R500 bail from the Ntuzuma Magistrate’s Court, after his cousin Vukile Jaca opened a case for him following a physical altercation. The IdolsSA season 13 runner-up recently failed to appear in court, after they were referred to Family and Marriage Association of South Africa (FAMSA). Mthokozisi and Vukile were expected to appear in the Ntuzuma Magistrate’s Court for the finalisation of their mediation process.

Sources close to the proceedings indicate that Mthokozisi’s absence has raised serious concerns, with the court now considering its next steps. In such cases, failure to appear can result in a warrant of arrest being issued, depending on the circumstances and prior court instructions.

According to Daily Sun, the court has a warrant of his arrest, but it will be enforced if he fails to appear in court again

Legal experts note that missing a court date is treated as a serious offence in South African law, particularly when a summons or formal notice has been properly served. The court may also assess whether the absence was intentional or due to valid reasons before deciding on enforcement action.

At this stage, it remains unclear why Mthokozisi did not attend the scheduled proceedings, and no official statement has been released by his representatives. The matter has sparked discussion on social media, with many users debating the possible legal outcomes and what this could mean for his public career moving forward. Authorities are expected to provide further clarity once the court resumes proceedings or issues a formal directive.
