Lights out on Scandal! as cast wraps final season

After years of gripping storylines, unforgettable characters and dramatic twists, Scandal! is officially coming to an end — and the cast has now wrapped filming for its final season.

The long-running e.tv soapie, Scandal!, has been a staple on South African screens for over a decade, building a loyal fanbase with its fast-paced plots and headline-making moments. Now, as production officially wraps, the cast and crew are saying their final goodbyes to a show that helped shape local television.

Taking to social media, several cast members shared heartfelt tributes, behind-the-scenes moments and emotional reflections from set.

For many actors, Scandal! was more than just a job — it was a platform that launched careers and created lifelong bonds.

Photos and videos from the final days of shooting show hugs, tears and gratitude as the team closed this important chapter. Since its debut, Scandal! has been known for bold storytelling tackling real-life issues, iconic characters that became household names and consistent ability to trend on social media.

The show also played a key role in introducing fresh talent to the industry while keeping audiences hooked with its unpredictable drama.

News of the show’s ending has sparked mixed emotions online. While some viewers say it’s the right time to end on a high note, others admit they’re not ready to say goodbye to one of Mzansi’s most loved soapies.
