Model Christina Storm has publicly addressed reports surrounding the 2019 death of her ex-boyfriend, late Springbok rugby star James Small.

As reported by Briefly News, she opened up on KykNET talk show Laataand by Rian earlier this week.

She clarified details about James Small’s death and responded to longstanding allegations of domestic violence, infidelity and substance abuse in their relationship.

During the interview, host Rian van Heerden asked Christina directly if James had physically assaulted her. The model denied being a victim, stating: “I wasn’t a victim. We were both physically aggressive toward each other.”

Christina and James, , who met in the 1990s and share a daughter, Ruby, had a highly publicised relationship that often made headlines. She said their romance ended after Ruby’s birth but added they “continued to co-parent beautifully until the end.”

She also addressed sensational 2019 reports that James died of a drug-induced heart attack in a nightclub and was found naked.

Christina dismissed those claims, confirming that he died of a heart attack but clarified the circumstances on the day. While she acknowledged he was found without clothes, she pushed back on the narrative that drugs were involved.

The model said she chose to speak out now, following Amor Vittone, to set the record straight about her relationship with the father of her child. “My child has to see that,” she said, referring to false reports circulating online.

James Small, a 1995 Rugby World Cup-winning Springbok, died on 10 July 2019 at age 50.
