Easter is a time that draws families together for hearty meals, bonds and new memories. Having National Family Day celebrated close after Easter weekend becomes the cherry on top.

While you may be wondering how you will celebrate Family Day in a fun way, here are some activities that are family-friendly, catering for each member of the family regardless of their age.

Consider these indoor relaxing activities:

Family games night: The family can gather for board games, card games, or a puzzle night, as suggested by Twinkl and House of Hope.

Movie marathon: The family can watch favourite films together.

Memory sharing: Look through photo albums or watch home videos to reminisce, those fun chats and laughs that come with watching old photos may bring the cheer.

For outdoor and active fun:

Picnics and hikes: Explore local nature reserves, parks, or beaches for a picnic, say Twinkl and BabyYumYum.

Bike rides of walking: Take a family walk or a leisurely bike ride, according to Twinkl.

Sporting activities: Playing backyard soccer or cricket can also bring fun while the family waits for food as suggested in the above-mentioned source. This will also strengthen the bond between children and their elders, as they will be playing together.
