Musician Mduduzi Ncube has cut ties with Inkabi Records after many years as their signed artist. He will focus on his newly formed record label named Black Bird Music Entertainment.
Mduduzi took to his Facebook page to share a statement issued by Inkabi Records confirming Mduduzi’s move, following the end of his recording contract with them. Captioning his post, Mduduzi said: “A great pleasure it has been working at Inkabi Records but today we chose to part ways. It has been a great journey and Mduduzi Ncube’s brand has elevated and established to greater heights. I wanna thank Big Zulu for such a huge opportunity and believing in me, and also in nurturing and building this brand and also his team but now I have to venture in my own journey and embrace new opportunities thank you,” penned Mduduzi.

“It is with great pleasure that we announce and bring clarity to some developments at our recording label. Over the past couple of years, we have seen great success from the emergence and growth of the record label,” read the statement.
The record label cited that all recordings released under Inkabi Records will remain their property as the copyright and master holder.
“Mduduzi Ncube is free to explore other recording management and publishing opportunities outside of Inkabi Records. Inkabi Records will continue to administer the publishing rights of all records previously recorded under the label.
“Mduduzi will continue to earn royalties from all recordings released under Inkabi Records,” added the record label.

Mduduzi also took to his Instagram page to share a glimpse of Black Bird Music Entertainment.
