The family of late rapper Sinesipho Peter, who was popularly known as Bravo Le Roux, together with friends and supporters, are raising funds to bring the artist home for a dignified funeral service.

This comes after Bravo passed away while in Switzerland on Thursday, January 22 at the age of 30, leaving his family to navigate the difficult process of bringing him home to South Africa.

Bravo Le Roux’s wife, Sabrina Peter-Messina, better known as DJ Sab, set up a fundraiser to help repatriation to South Africa and to provide long-term support for his daughter, after many people asked how they can support during this difficult time.

International repatriation involves legal clearances, transport arrangements, and significant fees, all of which must be handled before a funeral can take place in South Africa.

According to the details shared on the fundraising page, the goal is straightforward. DJ Sab wants to lay her husband to rest at home, surrounded by family, friends, and the community that knew him.

After CHF 23,925 converting to R491 089,34 was raised, Bravo’s family declared that it was enough to bring him back to South Africa for a burial where his family and friends will be present.

The latest update from the page read: “Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your donation and support during this difficult time. Thanks to you, we have now raised the amount needed to bring Bravo (Sinesipho) back. Any further donations will go directly to supporting our daughter. Every contribution is, of course, voluntary and deeply appreciated.”
