Multi-award-winning media personality Thulasizwe ‘Lasizwe’ Dambuza recently shared that he booked himself into a wellness centre.

He shared that he has officially signed out of social media, because his cellphone will be taken away during his stay. The Awkward Dates host highlighted that he was welcomed by a team of nurses, psychologists and psychiatrists, and he will be away for a few weeks.

Lasizwe further explained that he decided to check himself in because this year has been mentally challenging for him.

“I’m burnt out, I’m exhausted, I’m depressed, I have anxiety, and I’m proud of myself that I’m here,” he said.

He also urged people to take care of their mental health.

“To you watching this, please find someone in your community, your family or friendship to speak to regarding your feelings, emotions and how you are feeling; or find professional help,” advised Lasizwe.

The award-winning YouTuber said he hopes that the team at the wellness centre helps him recover, so that he can enter next year stronger.
