Hidden gems for a romantic escape

by Sergio Miller

Date nights are often viewed as the main ingredient to keeping the spark alive; this comes with the need for some creativity.

Starting a romantic connection is often the easiest part of any love story, but when it comes to keeping the spark alive, that requires a bit more effort.

From being authentic and truthful to being spontaneous and unpredictable, these are some of the main ingredients to ensuring longevity.

Having regular date nights is critical to this. It helps maintain a strong relationship because of the ability to strengthen emotional connection, improve communication and reduce stress.

The reputable publication, Couples Therapy Inc., adds that, “The stress-reducing conversation is an opportunity for couples to reconnect after a long day. Sometimes this is what a date night is for; we can each vent what’s on our minds to a compassionate ear.”

At its true essence, the main purpose of a date night allows couples the opportunity to break away from their daily routines and responsibilities to focus on nurturing their relationship. This requires a venue.

Regardless of where you may find yourself in the country, South Africans are spoiled for choice when it comes to venues.

To assist you with this, we have a series of nice local spots where you can enjoy the ambiance and live in the moment.
