Gogo Maweni sees a postponement to assault case

by Sergio Miller

Gogo Maweni will have to wait slightly longer to hear her fate being determined, as her court appearance was postponed to a later date.

The reality star and traditional healer recently appeared in the Protea Magistrates’ Court on allegations of assault.

This comes after the Izangoma Zodumo star was arrested earlier this year for an incident that dates back to 2019. Celiwe Khulu, the sister of her ex-boyfriend, accused her of both assault and the intention to cause grievous bodily harm.

According to TshishaLive, during a brief court appearance on Wednesday, it was announced that her court date, which was previously postponed to 15 October to make provision for the birth of her twins, has now been rescheduled to 22 October.

She and her husband welcomed their newborns in July this year and have been embracing the bliss of having two new members added to their family tree.

A month later, she celebrated her 39th birthday and took the time to reflect on some of the highs and lows of the last few months.

“Last year I celebrated my wedding, buying a house as well as a townhouse and flipping them into a rental business…

“The year 2025 started with drama, as well as me getting arrested, which I’m grateful for, as it was the greatest eye opener to appreciating what God and my ancestors blessed me with! Today I turn 39 and yet again this year we have achieved cars, home, traditional spa as well as the birth of our beloved twins…” she wrote at the time.
