DJ Zinhle Shines Spotlight on Young Creatives in ‘Woza’ Music Video

by Zaghrah Anthony

DJ Zinhle Puts Young Talent Center Stage

DJ Zinhle is turning heads once again, not just with her music, but with her dedication to uplifting the next generation of South African creatives. Her latest music video for Woza, released earlier this year, has fans buzzing—not only for the vibrant visuals but for the spotlight she gives to young talent behind the camera.

The video is a lively showcase of her Woza Summer events, capturing energetic moments of fans enjoying themselves, dancing, and spotting familiar faces in the crowd. But the story behind the scenes is what really makes this release special.

Moghelingz Takes the Creative Lead

In a heartfelt Instagram post, DJ Zinhle revealed her favourite part of the video isn’t what appears on screen—it’s who crafted it. Banele Ndaba, better known as Moghelingz, directed the Woza music video, marking one of his first major projects.

“I think it was his first project, and he hit it; it was amazing,” Zinhle shared. “It was everything it needed to be, and I’m glad we got direction from someone like Moghelingz who knows exactly what they’re doing, visually on a normal day. That’s dope.”

Moghelingz has built a strong following on social media for his bold and boundary-pushing content. From dance and comedy to makeup transformations and LGBTQ+ advocacy, his work is celebrated for representation and creativity in digital spaces. He has even co-hosted the TikTok Awards for Sub-Saharan Africa, further solidifying his influence in the creative scene.

Fans Celebrate DJ Zinhle’s Mentorship

Fans quickly flocked to DJ Zinhle’s Instagram to praise her for nurturing young talent.

  • “Such a beautiful thing to witness how much you enjoy working with youngsters and showing them they must believe in themselves as much as you do, if not more. 🔥😍♥️🙌🏽,” commented @simvio.

  • @mellow_ohhh added: “The love and support that you show to the young creative … You are one of the few in the industry who are not afraid to risk it so that the young people can have a foot in. Never stop, please!”

  • @latoyadreystuurman wrote: “This is so big of you @djzinhle which goes to show the kinda person you are!!!! I love it sisi 🔥❤️.”

Through gestures like this, DJ Zinhle reinforces her role as more than a music icon—she’s a mentor and a gateway for young creatives to gain visibility in an industry that can often feel impenetrable.

A Cultural Impact Beyond the Screen

DJ Zinhle’s support resonates strongly in the South African creative community. In a country where access to resources and opportunities can be limited for emerging talent, her decision to trust and elevate a young director like Moghelingz sends a powerful message: creativity and talent deserve space to shine, regardless of age or experience.

The Woza music video is not just a celebration of summer vibes and house music energy, it’s a testament to mentorship, representation, and the collaborative spirit of South Africa’s next generation of creatives.
