Donald Trump’s Granddaughter Kai Launches Fashion Brand at the White House

by Zaghrah Anthony

Kai Trump Steps Into the Fashion Spotlight

In a move that blends politics, celebrity culture, and teen entrepreneurship, 18-year-old Kai Trump, granddaughter of former US President Donald Trump, has officially launched her own fashion brand, right on the grounds of the White House.

The debut was anything but subtle. Promotional photos show Kai wearing a $130 pullover from her self-titled line, “Kai,” while standing near her grandfather during a Friday appearance outside the presidential residence. Don Jr. introduced her to the press, saying simply, “This is Kai, by the way,” as cameras captured the young entrepreneur in her signature minimalist sweatshirt.

The brand focuses on understated, elegant basics. The first offering is a plain crew-neck sweatshirt, featuring Kai’s initials on the chest and her signature at the cuff—a nod to the growing trend of “personalized minimalism” in teen fashion. With a price tag of $130, the pieces are positioned as premium, collectible basics that appeal to both fans of the Trump family and fashion-savvy teens alike.

Kai announced the launch on social media Thursday, accompanied by a series of White House-grounded photos, giving her brand an immediate boost of prestige and visibility. The website showcases the teen entrepreneur confidently posing on the historic lawns, an image that merges political legacy with youthful ambition.

A Young Golfer with Big Plans

Outside of fashion, Kai is no stranger to the spotlight. She previously gave a short speech at the Republican National Convention last year, and the granddaughter of the 79-year-old Republican shares a passion for golf with her grandfather. The pair departed for the Ryder Cup together following the brand announcement.

Kai is also expected to join the golf team at the University of Miami next year, making her one of the Trump family’s youngest public figures to balance academic, sporting, and entrepreneurial pursuits.

White House Launches and Family Dynamics

Kai’s parents are divorced, and her mother is reportedly dating golf legend Tiger Woods—a detail that has added an extra layer of intrigue to the launch. The combination of political connections, celebrity family ties, and personal branding ensures that Kai’s fashion debut will attract attention well beyond the teen market.

It also continues a Trump family tradition of blending personal branding with politics. Unlike previous officeholders, the former president is known for leveraging his position to promote self-branded merchandise, from clothing to real estate and even cryptocurrencies. Kai’s fashion line is the latest example of this intersection of business, family, and public life.

Social Media Reacts

The launch has sparked mixed reactions online. Some social media users applauded Kai for her entrepreneurial spirit, calling her “the next big teen designer.” Others critiqued the high price point and the blending of politics with commerce. Regardless, the move has certainly generated buzz, cementing her presence as both a fashion and cultural figure.
