Mmatema Moremi shares her gratitude after joining ‘Genesis’

Actress and singer Mmatema Moremi never looked back from when she became part of the top two on Idols SA

Hailing from Limpopo, Mmatema entered for Idols SA twice and gained more recognition the second time. She is known for her powerful voice that is likely to leave the crowd with goosebumps and moved spiritually. The Ke Lerato singer found her niche in the gospel industry, and has released hits such as O a Ntwanela, My Time Is Now and O Tshepagetse.

She also has a blooming acting career that includes roles from Bone of My Bones, Rhythm City and lately Genesis.

Mmatema recently took to her Instagram page to open up and share her gratitude for being part of the Mzansi Magic drama series, Genesis. She plays the character of Basetsana, a discovered talent from church to join the iconic Genesis records as an artist. She stars alongside Baby Cele, Buyile Dladla and Nay Maps.

Taking to her Instagram page, she said: “Cat’s finally out (of) the bag, remember that answered prayer testimony I spoke about in January? Yes, it’s my feature on the new drama series Genesis, weekdays on Mzansi Magic. Funny almost every role I’ve played is a singer, let’s see what Basetsana has in store for us this time enjoy the ride. Thank you Mzansi Magic and Genesis,” she penned.
