Rachel Kolisi wishes JP Duminy’s daughter a happy birthday

by Staff Bona

Former Proteas star JP Duminy marked a special milestone this past weekend as his daughter Bella celebrated her 10th birthday. The cricketer, who shares two daughters with his ex-wife Sue Duminy, posted a touching tribute on Instagram that quickly drew warm responses from friends, family, and fans.

A heartfelt birthday message

Duminy shared a photo of himself with his daughters alongside the caption: “Celebrating our big princess today. Double digits. #10.” Among the many well-wishers was Rachel Kolisi, the estranged wife of Springboks captain Siya Kolisi, who commented: “Congratulations!! She’s beautiful.”

While several friends and supporters filled the post with heartfelt messages, Sue Duminy did not publicly acknowledge the occasion. Many social media users, however, left encouraging notes, calling Bella “a beautiful girl” and praising Duminy for being a devoted father.

Life after separation

JP and Sue Duminy announced their divorce in February 2025, bringing their 14-year marriage to an end. Once known as a prominent lifestyle and sporting couple, the pair had long shared glimpses of their travels and family life before speculation of strain emerged late last year.

Although they have chosen to keep the reasons for their separation private, both appear to be moving forward in their own ways. Duminy has remained focused on coaching, commentary, and mentorship within cricket since retiring from international play in 2019. Sue, who previously worked as a model and lifestyle blogger, has kept her social media presence low-key but recently hinted at a new relationship.

Warm support from fans

Despite the absence of acknowledgement from his ex-wife, Duminy’s post was met with an outpouring of support. Fans praised him for his dedication as a father, while others reflected on how quickly time had passed since Bella’s early childhood.

For Duminy, the birthday celebration was another reminder of the bond he continues to share with his daughters, even as life takes new directions.
