Nomcebo Zikode, the Grammy Award-winning South African singer behind the global hit Jerusalema, is officially back on tour and embracing the thrill of performing live despite her ongoing legal drama.

After months of being in the spotlight for her legal battle with Open Mic Productions, Nomcebo has returned to doing what she loves most – musical performances.

Nomcebo took to her Instagram page to share pictures from her exhilarating performance at the Dundee July. She expressed her happiness to be back on stage, saying: “BACK on the road doing what I love the most here at home Ngibonge #DundeeJuly for the warm welcome!!!” The performance marked a triumphant return for Nomcebo, who received a warm welcome from fans and fellow artists.

In recent months, the musician has been embroiled in a legal battle with her former record label, Open Mic Productions. The singer claims she wasn’t paid for her vocals on the chart-topping hit Jerusalema, despite the song’s massive worldwide success.

She dragged the company to court and also exposed her former bosses in a documentary about the unfair treatment she was subjected to. “My contract says I must be paid a certain percentage every 3 months, but Open Mic have never paid me a cent, and still they want me to continue to give them 2 more albums,” she revealed.

Social media users flooded her comment section welcoming her back:

One said: “It was good to see you.”

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper,” added another.
