Getting to know South Africa’s Police Commissioners

by Nomonde Simelane

Due to recent developments in South Africa’s political landscape, KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has become a household name. However, as a citizen, do you know the other eight Provincial Police Commissioners?

When it comes to the fight against crime in South Africa, Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has opted to walk the walk and lead by example. He has set a precedent for not tolerating any outlaw activity.

Furthermore, his approach has garnered him immense support from citizens, as their frustration regarding issues such as crime, corruption, illegal immigration, and more continues to grow.

Mkhwanazi has separated himself from the rest of his peers, and his team’s work has spoken for itself. They continue to work hard to put a stop to the criminal activity taking over the KZN province.

However, contrary to popular belief, Mkhwanazi is not South Africa’s only Police Commissioner. The country actually boasts a total of nine Provincial Commissioners, where each province is delegated a high-ranking official.

Getting to know the Commissioners:
